can anyone detail the procedure for removing the power window motor from an explorer?
the passenger-side power window on my 93 sport has eaten it. i can still hear the motor turning as i try to put it down, but the window doesn't move. this leads me to believe that the gears are shot.
i tried to take the motor out to take a look at it, but wasn't successful. there appears to be three hex nuts/bolts holding what i believe to be the motor to the inner surface of the door. after i removed these, the motor would not budge. there seem to be three more things holding the motor in, and i can't figure out if they are clips, bolts or screws. the business end of them is facing the hollow interior of the door which i cannot see.
