wiper issue

Hey guys, I am new to this forum but I already find it very informative/entertaining. anyways, I have an 88 F150 that is having some weird wiper issues. I am pretty certain the motor is the culprit but I figured I'd go on here and see if anyone else has had similar problems. So, the wipers on both speeds seem very slow/weak, and after about 30 seconds on either speed the motor starts skipping and will eventually stop completely. I have noticed when it starts skipping/stops the voltmeter starts going down as if there is an increased electrical demand on the alternator. I am 90% positive the motor is worn out or there is a pivot point on the wiper transmission that is either bent or rusty. I suppose the next step would be to take the cowl off and take a look-see. Thanks!

at the beginning of this forum is a read-first sticky ... intermittent wiper switch easy fix, or something like that ... a lot of people, myself included, have solved their wiper problem after reading this . check it out and good luck.
