Alrite folks I have a f150 1989 modle 3.2 5speed 4x4 for some reason when I turn my runing lights on I got the front 2 but not my bck 2 when I hit the brakes they light up I have my turn lamps and my bck up lamps I just don't havey running light ones on the bck which means I don't have lights on at night in the bck til I hit my brakes what in the world could this be I've checked fuse after fuse after fuse is checked the bulbs I don't have the first clue what it can be if anyone has any tht mint help me please let me no thanks!
This should be fairly easy. You are missing one circuit. There is a single brown wire going to the rear that feeds each taillight and also the license plate lights.
This same brown wire also feeds the front lights. That means the fuse is good, the switch is good. It runs all over the truck. Find the brown wire at the rear, there is a wiring plug back there on the driver's side rear. Get a testlight and poke the wire and see if you have voltage there with the running lights on. If you do not have it, work your way up front to see where the problem is. If you have it, then it's probably a problem at the plug itself or some spliced trailer wiring.
