Best I can tell from the pictures, you have the 99.5 up PWM pump and there should be no orifice plug in that hole.
ok, thanks Roland…..I am probably going to rebuild it myself…but it may take me a bit to round up enough money….it will be my first tranny rebuild.so I may have another question or 2 along the way

I agree with you that his is the PWM pump. Now when I did my E99 build date Aug'98 it to had the PWM pump and if you recall we talked about me going to the Non PWM but since I am running stock tuning that I stayed with the PWM and used Sonnax Converter Clutch Control Valves. And it locks up the TC in a improved manner over stock. When I did my pump I dropped about $175 worth of goodies in it. I would need to check my trans build thread to see what they were again.
Did you see his old seal is white it is NOT the black seal. If you have the part # for the good seal you might want to post it for Brushfit. I would hate to see him do all this work and use a brown or white pump seal.

Yes, and that is something I would like to correct as well while I am at this is the 4th is immediately followed by overdrive….no matter what my chip setting may be…except for 140hp…..so thanks in advance Bad Dog Kuzz and Roland….some info can't be had in the ATS manual
I agree the ATSG will only get you so far. I learned most of what I know about the 4R100's from Roland and the guys here on FTE. And here is a couple of links about pump bushing and trans that might be helpful. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1173893-trans-pump-bushing.html

Thanks again….My biggest hurdle now is the funds for the parts I need….that t.c. price is as cheap as I've heard yet, where did you purchase it?

I have had good luck using this Viton seal from NAPA. Part Number: ATP 16455 I really prefer the NOK seal that comes in a quality rebuild kit, but this is the best one I could find individually. I didn't have a good experience with the Precision brand Viton seal from an auto trans parts warehouse.

Thanks again Roland….I also have the web site you purchased your rebuild kit from saved to my reading list(MacBook Air) version of favorites tab.
