If I didn't already suggest this, perhaps I should. How about modifying a 6.4L HFCM to bolt onto an existing 6.0L HFCM? The only difference is the line diameters.

I would not want to use the OEM plug because it corrodes, but if all you are doing is a one-time install, then it is probably OK.

I have an updated plug (brass) and will probably have a machinist at work drill it out and thread the outside of the knurled **** for NPT. Also, I would want the hole to be as large as possible so that draining would not be restricted much (edit - as Tim mentioned).
It seems to me most guys are using full length 6mm hex keys and after half a turn it binds against the driveshaft and buggers up the hex drive and it's stripped.

I took a normal allen key and cut a short section down to avoid that, now it no longer binds against the driveshaft.

If you mentioned it Mike - than I flat missed it!

Sounds promising. I am not familiar w/ the 6.4L HFCM. Will the cover plates interchange or are we talking the entire HFCM?

I have an entire 6.4L HFCM kicking around in my garage. If I recall correctly, it "looks like" the 6.4L HFCM cover will bolt onto an existing 6.0L F-series HFCM. The only thing that gets in the way of doing as such is due to the difference in line diameters as previously mentioned.
