Well I've been wanting to get another dentside for awhile now and I was browsing CL. Nothing but junk in my area so I widened my search and found this old girl. It's quit a drive for me but it seems worth it. The seller agreed to go down to $2,000. What's everyone elses thoughts on this? If all goes as planned she will be in my driveway this time next week.
Nice truck, but I bet its 122,000 miles, not 22,000. Looking at the motor and the rest of the truck is why I say that. But looks like a good deal, I guess. Rust hided under that large bottom chrome very well.
What's that scary possibility in the back passenger bed side with those paint bubbles?
Also be aware that a truck setting is the worst thing on seals and fuel tanks (rust) ect...keep an on things to start leaking if you jump it right into DD status.
I agree with 78/79 about the miles and the body damage on the rear fender as the damage appears to go past the wheel well, hence no chrome trim. I hate to say this but you have more rust on the truck with out the fender damage than my 78 350 retired work truck does with 83,000 miles. Then again mine wasn't driven in the rain or during the winter. It was used for pad concrete and landscaping up here in the northlands which is why it had such a short season. Check it out from underneath to find out how much rust and body damage there really is. I really hope the truck is better than I tend to think it is. In the next day or 2 I'll be posting pics of the 79 350 sandwich truck I bought for 32,500 pieces of copper.( it's a tough one) Good luck with the truck.
