my '79 project

a few months ago I picked up a rust-free 1979 F-150 4x4 with the Lariat package. The truck came from California. One side of the bed needs a little work, it's missing the lower racetrack trim, and one door has a dent that needs to be fixed. I retired my '76 4x2 but saved the 466. I hope to drop it in the '79 this spring. I think $500 was a good deal...I put a couple of pics in my new gallery.

500 bucks seems like a great deal.

I read a lot of threads with people who find rust free trucks that just need some minor body work for really cheap. I must be looking in the wrong places. I would be happy to find a rust free truck for under 1000 bucks, and it wouldn't even need to have a motor or tranny or 4x4.

Great find indeed man 500 is a steal like other people mentioned rust free you have to pay to get a truck like that rust free wow your truck seems to be in good solid shape
