Very cool if it works. The factory idiot guages suck anyway, might as well put something usefull in there.

You could send it to a gauge specialist and they could silk screen a new face on it that matches the speedometer.
There are several listed in Hemmings that do this kind of work'
And yeah, that looks great.

Agreed, very cool. This should have been an available option back then in the first place. You should have no problem getting it to work.

wow never thought about putting a later ford truck tach in place of those gauges. good job looks stockish almost.

I bet the speedo and tack are out of an 80's ish something truck.....?

Does that speedo have a "high beam" light place and what about your R/H T/S indicator and brake caution light?

Still a cool idea, keep us posted.

The tech is out of a 95 ford truck. the 95 had a all electronic speedo and it to wide to fit in the opening some of the 78-79 trucks had a 0-85 mph with no other marking I been curious if i could calibrate the tech so it would read up to 8500 rpm.

Not really. And by the time you updated the tach face, it's not the same tach anyway, so might as well just get an aftermarket one. Not sure why you'd need that high in one of these trucks though.
