Thanks Trav, the 78 was the last year of the Stang II? I kind of liked them I remember seeing one with a 302. That was a fast little car.
My favorite car besides my Crown Vic was my 1988 T-Bird 302. I wish I would of kept it in many ways. It had a 190K when I traded it in on a 1992 Ranger 4x4. That was back when the Ford dealer was across the street from my house. The owner was a friend of mine. He made money & I got good deals.
We have been hit by winds hard enough to topple trees on to trailers here in our park, plus it has been raining for the last hour & half pretty hard. Luckily we are OK & in good order. What damage has been unoccupied trailers that belong to snowbirds. So nobody can get in to see how bad damage is inside nor try to contain water from doing further damage.
Good Morning Craig, be careful on the road! glad your all OK after the storm.
Thanks Bill.
There looked like places in Kingman got a large amount of rain. Roads were all clear & good. That storm yesterday was real spotty. I was in Fort Mohave last night & I don't think from the looks of things they got much if any rain.
I did hear the road from Laughlin to Needles was closed at Casino Drive. So you could not even get to the Avi Casino from Laughlin without going around. That is a nice 4 lane road or was anyway.
It is a 1996 OBS powerstroke 4x4 with a 2000 7.3 powerstroke engine, trans, transfercase, and rear end in it. They swapped the bezel and all of the wiring and computers over. They had to do a 4 inch body lift to make it work.
I got it to start and run today, and it has no blow by to speak of. It shows 81K miles on the speedo bezel. I am going to pull the motor, trans, t-case, and rear end out and probably scrap the rest of it. I might try selling off the rest of the parts, but I have not decided really... I figure I can still get 400 for the body and frame. I am not sure what I am going to keep after swapping the motor into my F450. I plan on selling the F450 after the swap since I won't be driving it for work anymore...
I have applied at a few places this week, I am still waiting for the interviews...
I have to say you thought right. LOL I would do that if I had extra parts laying around just to build a peer offroad rig.
Also by the way Donn you do realize that is an 80-91 cab looking at the back windows.
Looks like the front end might be from a 2000 fseries also being it has superduty hubs and looks to be superduty wheels.
Personally if it were me I would sell most of the parts on the front clip as they look straight. The cab just scrap. Check the frame out as it might actually be a 2000 frame and they just stuck a 80-91 cab and 92-96 front clip on it as they had a tittle to a 96 slapped it together calling it good.
To tell you the truth I bet that it what it is looking at it in the pics just a 96 body on a 2000 frame a lot like what I am doing with the ranger (92 chassis and 96 body). If you get a few pics of the frame I might be able to tell you weather it is a 2000 frame or a 96 frame being I have both styles of frames.
Trav
good day all, work is slow so that makes it clean up day, not my favorite thing to do.
love my big garage right up until it is time to deep clean, than I wish it was a tiny shop!
