Reman injector supplier
With so many threads about failing injectors and knowing there are not any "NEW" injectors to be had, I had some questions I'm sure others wonder about also.
So it seems most recommend FoMoCo brand reman injectors. What is the difference in the builds? Does Ford use better cores? What actually get replaced/refurbished during a Ford reman vs. brand X? What makes one reman inferior to another?

Save yourself a headache, spend the money, and get the motorcraft injectors.
Too many times I've seen people go with a local rebuilder and end up getting screwed. Been there myself with the #1 injector on my 7.3, that's how I learned....

I don't need convincing. It's hard sometimes to justify to someone else (friend,employer,customer) why they should spend $50 or so more when they think they can get the "same" thing for much less.

In addition, make sure you keep your receipts. I inquired about a few parts at my local dealer and they don't do much in the way of record keeping....apparently. I just talked to that one guy at the counter, so I don't know how true that is.

It is a must in our shop , each customer file gets a copy of any paper work , parts list , IDS print outs, quotes .. So I have 2 copies and a good history

The front counter woman at my favorite diesel shop insists they can get new ones. Ordinarily, I would chalk it up to the ramblings of a "wanna-be one of the guys" receptionist, but this broad really knows her stuff, and insisted they were getting new 6.0 injectors. Can't prove any of it by me...
