Since yesterday, every time I turn the key off and remove it from the ignition the truck just keeps running. Engine, radio, according and everything just like the key was still there. When I press the unlock button it shuts everything down. It is a 2014 F250 with 4500 miles on it. I don't know if I did something or what but I am confused. Anyone know the scoop?
That is what I am planning. This is my first diesel so I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something that it was supposed to do to cool down if it was hot or charge batteries if they were low or something. Thanks for the input!
If he was working it HARD it would almost sound like it has a turbo cool-down
timer installed. I don't know if they come from the factory that way or not.
The other thing I would think might be is a remote start that is acting up.
But some of this depends on if he is the Original Owner or not.
Then again it could be a simple short. 4500 miles is not much at all.
It's still a baby and not broke in yet.
Like Senix said video it and take to ford. If you can pick look for the
well seasoned Ford diesel mechanic and not the new guy that still has
the new shine on his tool boxes.
I had the same thing happen in my 08 (gas) but there was a short in the accessory wire running to the ac temp controls. I however could not turn the truck off at all without pulling a fuse and all the lights on my dash were on.
Just curiou, has an aftermarket radio been installed recently. I only ask because mine may or may not have started acting up right after

Hi milkman22,
Get this in front of your dealership and they'll check things out. I'd also like to bring this to the attention of your regional customer service manager. To get started, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll get to work.
