Programming a B key

2003 Ex 6.0 got all my other issues solved .So now I want an extra transponder key cause I was getting a key circuit loop failure. So when using AE proline to program I get nowhere soon as I click done I get security failed....Now that being said I checked my diagnostic codes and B-1342 is there.ECU is bad.Am I doomed and have to replace. Also I have a tuner installed (HyperTech) set at level #2 cause i am scared of level #3.Even if I set tuner back to factory I still get Code #U0306.Is it possible the Tuner has corrupted ECU .......This is not a big deal but I would like a spare key

Im not to sure the 03s are compatible you may have to have a transponder or take it to Ford, have you tried a new key fob and turn the Ignition 8 times , I'll get you a link

I had a set of older fobs and they would not work with my 2001.
I still have the 2001 fobs and they do seem to work with the
2006.

I was reading the first post and the OP said transponder key.
The Super Duty trucks did not use them at that point in time.
I think the Ex did.

So the question is key fobs of ignition PATS keys?

At some point they changed the system so that you have to
have access to a special database and to get that you have to
call and give your registration number to get the code you need.
Also you may have to have a VCM or a VCMII with IDS to make any
changes even with the access numbers.

Here is some info I found. There is some info on OUT CODES and IN CODES
Have look at this first one.

Sean

EDIT : To program a new PATS key you must already have two in hand or you have to use the IDS with a VCM.
