Late with the May thread, but was busy driving since 4:14am this morning. Delivered the 93 F250 to Chico and went over to Oroville to pick up a early 70's Ranchero. They loaded it on the trailer with a huge forklift. LOL. The steering column is not connected. Should be interesting to see how we get it off the trailer. Got home about 5 pm, but had no where to park, so I took the trailer to the mini storage lot, and then parked the truck in my driveway.
Will be making another trip to Las Vegas on Monday, using Bill's S-10 and a small trailer with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in it. Also got a call from Doug and he is trying to buy a truck on eBay that is in Arroyo Grande, and wants to know if I will pick it up if he wins. I said yes, so I may be busy this weekend as well. Or if he can get the money wired in time, maybe I can pick it up on the way back from dropping off the Ranchero.
Didn't win the bid, so just dropping the Ranchero off tomorrow, and going to Vegas on Monday.
My house AC (in the living room) is set to 74, and I tested it today for a few minutes to make sure it works. Should do that with the computer room AC as well.
Found out on the way back from Oroville, that the F350's AC is marginal at best. It starts out cooling, but then something happens and it gets warm. If I put my hands over the vents, they are blowing cold, but I noticed, it does not matter what speed I set the fan to, it does not increase the air flow, although the fan noise does increase. So maybe I have a loose or disconnected duct under the dash.
Heck ya Scott. A/C been just a'workin away.
Jim, start truck and turn on a/c, The clutch should be sticking out meaning a/c is on. If not check the wires going into compressor to see if loose. I had a similar thing happen on my 01 7.3 and it was the connector that was bad.
Happy Friday Nor Cal FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day, and even better weekend.
Going to check the F350's AC today. Don't want to be driving that in the summer with marginal AC performance. I was think maybe one of the ducts was blocked, but will check the AC clutch as well. Too bad the Bronco can't tow the trailer, not only would it get better mpg, but the AC works like a champ.
Happy Saturday Nor Cal FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day.
Well, I drove the F350 yesterday to run some errands, and the AC worked just fine. So now I am thinking loose wire connection somewhere. Time to check everything. Have to add lights to the trailer, and a break away box, so it will give me a chance to look over the F350 as well.
I've driven the 6.0l the last few days and it's A/C isnt quite up to par. After I had all the work done on it I suspect that the dealership forgot to recharge it. I put 2 cans in and it made it a hell of a lot better, think it could take a little more though.
