I've got the nastiest 1/4 of the barn almost completely mucked out. I've been only able to work at an hour or so at a time in order to keep my lungs happy with the whole idea. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a bigger chunk of it cleaned out.
Well new rear bumper with receiver hitch tube and "attach chebby to tow" points. lol And all tied in to the roll cage that is 99% complete on the Bronco.
And I get to still use my tool boxes and the spare fits like a 35" bogger in a 35" hole.
Will have the middle roll bar posts tied to the frame here real soon. Thanks again Alan for the help, awesome job like always!
Sorry about the head bumping deal X3.
FYI folks that's why there is a hard hat on the baja spare tire rack.....Alan kept head butting it.
I hear ya Alan, I never had one doubt, thanks again for the hand. Could not of done it with out you, sorry again for the nogin knocker.
I am a little sore this morning, to much hard work I guess, lol. So off this am to the neighbors to help him get his shop addition ready for the concrete truck on wed.
looks good rich... i was just wondering if all that "head knocking" managed to knock any sense into alans head.... ha ha ha ha ha .... it would take a sledge hammer to do me any good..
Hope everyone is doing ok today. I'm waiting on all my parts to come in tomorrow. I should have everything Bandit needs to run, switch gears, brake, and if course stop. Should have some por 15 in tomorrow as well so when I get Bandit back I should have stuff to do! :-)
I survived my first attempt at smoking ribs. I've never had much luck with ribs in the past, but this time the meat was moist and falling off the bones. I think I need to play around with the rub a little more, but for a first attempt they came out really good. Thanks for the hints everyone.
Dave, the absolute BEST dry rub that I've found is in Springfield Mo.
Go to www.outdoorhome.com and search the dry rub. They have a house brand that is called Sweet Smokey.
They usually don't show that rub on their web sight. But call that store and buy you a couple of bottles. You will not, be disappointed.
I have a neighbor from Ozark go get me this stuff and send it to me. I haven't found one I like near as much as that rub.
I got to try some smoked pork chops last night that were just awsome, tender and juicey. My buddy used a store bought rub that was oh so good. It's Weber brand brown sugar and burbon. If you like burbon, I trust you'll like this rub.
I worked a big side job, the last 2 weekends, so I can pay for my tranny install.
Oh talk about a nogin knocker. I took Saturday off and cleaned out the back of my truck. I threw my 100' extension cord in and aparently I hit the rear window shock thing that keeps the door up, well it came off it's pivot point and the door came crashing down on my head, shattering the glass it also decided to start raining at about the same time, so with blood dripping, I had to throw what was left, back in the truck, and get a big trash bag taped over the door frame all the while getting poured on.
I'm on call this week, so I can't drink, and I really really wanted one after that.
