The plan for me is to be there, but unless something wonderful happens, EQ will stay at home and I'll bring Alice.
Well I wouldn't be surprised if I was in my ZX2 instead of the F150. I will have to see if I have my daughter that weekend, if not I should be able to make it.
i hope to be there in my 71 f100... unless something drastic happens.. it may not be all pretty and shinny yet but should be on the road.... i was hoping to drag that 82 chevy 4x4 of mine up there and maybe find a new home for it.... so i can have some cash to start another ford project.... i am missing not owning a FE block rig of any kind and may try to find a cure for that.... alan knows what i am talking about..
in case ya'll wanna see my crude attempt at making body parts ..not my specialty for sure....
I got the driver's side spring pack apart on Bandit. I also cut the extra leaves down.
For the record, there is one job I absolutely CAN NOT stand in fabrication. ....drilling spring steel. It's a pain to drill material that's harder than your drill bit.
I hope to have the driver's side back together tomorrow and passenger side started. I want this thing outta here by the weekend!
Should of got some old leaf packs/leaf springs from me, I have one or two. Back to the back doctor w/an appt tomorrow and then try to get some Ford truck past shipped out to folks.
well ya'll have a good night.. i think i will make a little snack then drag my wore out old bones to bed... tomorrow is another day that maybe i can get something done..
good morning missouri.. i hope it is a little drier today.. i need to get some outside work done.. i havent taken care of my household chores in weeks. laundry is piled up like a mountain.. i havent burned trash and it is building up too.. but first i have to run to the yard and get a steering wheel out of a 41 chevy truck, then come home get it boxed and shipped off.. somehow i am off my regular routine.. guess it could be the 71 f100 build that has me backing up..
i will pray for a quick recovery for austin, vloney...i hope the surgery goes well for him
Thank all of you for the wishes. He's swollen, says it feels like someone is pinching his cheek. He's eating (what 17 year old boy doesn't) and went to school today (I guess showing off his "battle wounds"). Other grandson had a wisdom tooth removed and he isn't happy either.
Busy day at the car lot. I just got to take a few minutes to myself for lunch.
I got the Mazda Tribute mudded, blocked, primed, and sanded, ready for paint. It's both way too cold and wet out to lay color and clear, so hopefully it'll dry out and warm up enough tomorrow to get something done.
I hope to get to the shop and get the front springs done on Bandit tonight. I guess we'll see.
Alan, I should have a wiring harness by early next week. If the guy from St. Louis comes though I might drive up there and get it this week. If not ill have one sent from a truck getting to a yard this week in Illinois.
Jeff. Good stuff. I have some bad news. Your truck needs four ball joints and front shocks. The spindles are just a floppin' around under there. So far, the steering looks good other than the stabilizer could use replacing as well.
Now for the good news. I got one of the spring packs done and back under the truck. I must say the stance is friggin' awesome! It has about 1 1/2" of rake front to back. I was going to start the other side, but I must've popped a rib out of place. I got chest and shoulder pains like crazy. I figured I'd just try again tomorrow. I'm super excited about how the spring pack turned out. I think you're gonna like it a lot.
Hopefully the weather cooperates tomorrow and I can get the Mazda sprayed.
