Good morning, Virginia! (And happy May) Hope everyone's been doing well.

Ran a 1:30am car fire call last night. Turns out that fire+ magnesium engine block+ water= fireworks.

Morning Devin.

Magnesium is nearly impossible to extinguish once it ignites.

The British navy used to make the decks of some of their warships with magnesium. Guess how that worked out for them!

Yup! Got a good two-way radio, a pager, full structure and brush gear, and been added to the county dispatch text list. Now I just need my license plate and accountability tags and I should be set. Oh, and a face piece for SCBA, but that'll be a few months.

i sorta did too.. but kept getting the feeling it was dwarfing the powerstroke banner there...
