Excursion has a GVWR of 9200#'s and I didnt take propane tanks. Iowa was the only state in my route that required a vehicle with a combined weight of >10,000 pounds to stop. I missed that state though.

id have tanks on mine for cookin... that way if weathers crappy i can still eat.. lol even my camping grill had a 20 lb tank on it lol..

I left mine at the rental house in VA. Just bought a new one out here, it was easier for me.

old fittings... that have been made "illegal" to refill because they can be over filled.. they would have to be converted to use the new fittings..

Probably costs more than buying new tanks
Just fill them, tie a road flare to them, take them to the range and shoot them.

I bet you can find an old mom and pop shop that will do it. There is one in Gloucester called CJ's or something like that. They have an old propane filling station.

fittings are like 20 each i think... but they needed to be installed and certified.. dunno what thatd cost..

Probably $20 a tank would be my guess. Thats about what it runs for CO2 and dive tanks.
