I'm half way curious about what the PO had in there (with engine mounts that far forward) but I'm even more interested in what I'll have to repair to get a straight six 300 and M5OD in there.
Could have been a SBC, I have seen them with bars bolted to the front of the block with holes at each end to fit mounts like those. The PO of mine had a bar like that but just bolted directly to the frame with no rubber at all. His crossmember was just a piece of angle iron with one bolt into the transmission mount and the angle iron just sitting on the rails of the frame - no bolts, no welds, no rubber.

Ford engines is not my strong suit, but IIRC the 300 uses the same mounting as a FSB?
Mid Fifty sells mounts for about anything: www,midfifty.com I didn't see the 300 listed specifically, but give em a call, I bet that Sy or one of her gals can tell you which one will work. They also sell tranny mounts.
PS: it helps us give more accurate answers if you put your year and model truck in your siggy or in each question, there are way too many builds to remember who is working on what.
Awesome guys. I live a few miles from Sacramento Vintage Ford, so I'll head out and see if they have crossmember and mounts that'll work, if not, I'll be open to suggestions on where to pick this stuff up. Or is this something I can get at pick n pull?
BTW mine are a hybrid design for specifically adapting the 300 to a CV cross member.
Yours will be the triangular portion of the plate only and will require you to make a spacer from 1/2" black pipe to fill the gap between the upper hole on the bracket and your block as shown in pic above.
Thanks ClintonVillain. I'll be sending you a PM later this week about those.
Also, I've tried to sign up for an account with Ford Six Performance a couple times over the last week and haven't gotten the administrator approval yet. Are they usually pretty slow with account approvals?
