I have the same DVD setup size/shape - just need the IR unit to wire up.

Will the plug be the same once I drop it...
Not sure what unit came in the 02...seems like a lot wire changes just to add IR headphones.
It's incredibly simple actually. fortunately all you are making is a wiring harness between your vehicle and the DVD player. Both items already have the plugs on them, you're just swapping one end of the existing harness out for a different one. If I had to do this again, I could probably do it in less than 15 minutes INCLUDING removing and reattaching the DVD player.

Just to get this right, You had the DVD without the IR, and swapped in this unit with IR.
My current DVD has the grey square plug that plugs into my current DVD....and the IR units have the rectangle plug - which you researched and found the harness you needed to make it plug in so nice.

I guess I am asking, my setup will go similar if not exact to what you did?

Well if you can read the connector pin outs you can de-pin and re- pin them into the new connector so no splicing needed.

In my case I made an entire harness because my base model had no wiring Stewart.......

That is correct, that's what I did. See the pictures for the part numbers.
