Having traversed 170 miles of MT 2 lane rds (aka highways) I have suffered through another chapter of steering torture. Quick recap of part throwing-RAS , Rear Hellwig ASB, new end links and bushings front ASB, new steering Stabilizer ands new steering gear. Dealer checked tie rods and ball joints and said they were fine--not sure they know anything though--long story.Ball joints are supposed to be new. I checked them after 2 months-2 were dry-you know the 9 pumps on the grease gun deal.I'm ordering v code springs--however this thing doesn't act like I would envision a spring issue behaving. It will be tracking fine than it will usually pull or jump right..I pull it back and it comes back hard--like overcorrecting but I am not. Feels like something is looser (easier to turn) going to the right than the left--its like any correction is an over correction.
I remember someone talked about a seized ball joint one time. I couldn't find the thread tonight. Does anyone have any experience with that issue. The used car dealer put on the new ball joints before I got it. I'm sure the instructions required turning 30 pages to get to the english ones. Anyway wondering if one ball joint is normal and the other side is binding--could that create those symptoms?
