My 2000 didn't come with the overhead DVD and when I was making the deal for my Ex at the dealership I told them they had to install one as part of the deal.
They checked with their service department to make sure it could be done easily and cheaply. Once they learned all was present to make the install a no-brainer, I bought the truck.

Yeah, I can just picture Mrs H driving you around while your watching cartoons in the back.

Not a cartoon guy.
Now, if you had said almost any Marvel/DC movie, or some sci-fi/thriller or action adventure kinda movie, then oh yeah baby, it'd be "put on that limo outfit baby and drive me crazy!"
Hey everyone! New to this forum as I just found it. Hopefully someone can PLEASE HELP!!! I have an 02 Ford excursion with a center mount TV that runs front to back of the truck. The VHS is under the center console I cannot find a TV to replace the one my husband snapped out of the roof. I've tried scrapyards the dealership and the number on the TV and cannot find one to replace it. Any suggestions? I've been looking for several years now and cannot find one. We drive about four hrs one way with three kids so it would be nice to fix it for them. So I desperately need to replace the TV please help. Thanks for any information!!!!
I just took out all the wiring for my tv, was going to take tv out but didnt want the open hole in the headliner. Going to wait till i can install whole setup all at once(tv,dvd, headunit) think it will make it a lot easier.
I bought one for the I can't beat it hopefully wiring is there I have to pull the head liner to install the rear heat so no biggie if not. Does anyone know what head unit I need or how that end ties in?
Is there wiring diagram around here for this?
Or maybe someone that has photos of doing there DVD install I looked but it gets frustrating on the little screen of my phone
Received mine today and was concerned that the factory package had been opened until I looked inside and found yards of bubble pack. And lots of bubble pack around that box that was inside the shipping box.
As always thanks to my FTE brothers and sisters for always looking out for each other...
Well I just got done pulling the head liner down in the parts truck (rear heat stuff) and was hoping to see a DVD harness in that truck and I did not bummer. I figured that since it was a limited that would have a better shot at having it, so I think that seals the deal for my driver not having the correct wires since it is fleet truck. But a good thing is by best friends brother works for Tousley ford and hopefully can make heads or tails of what I need to do this. If he gets what I need I will post parts numbers and price

Are you using the factory headunit? If you are, when you pull it out - do you have 1 square and 1 rectangular plug?
There are really only 3 wires that run up there. Power, negative and audio to the factory head unit. You could easily cobble your own connector.
Well on the DVD I just got it has like a 12 pin connector with wires to all of them just on the DVD side the heat is separate. And I have no head unit yet I'm doing headliner rear heat install and then the DVD of coarse want to run wires while liner is down
