So I just powered mine up and it looks a lot better than I thought it would BUT I can't get the wireless headphones to work. Ideas? Also does anyone have a part number that I should have just to be sure I bought the right ones

Got mine installed yesterday and works great. Had some IR headphone from my previous jury-rig setup that worked fine. Nice to have everything OEM. I tooks pics each step of the way and will post it later today.
Big thanks to dave, without his diagrams I wouldn't have been able to build the harness!

Here is what I got off amazon, mainly because it's cheap and my kids would destroy any headphones back there.

iPad Overhead Roof Mount iPad Dock with Headphones MV-IPAD2
this looks like a good replacement.
I would not want to spend too much money or time on DVD systems, but that said DVD isn't dead, a long way from that. We use a thing called a red box dispenser and get new DVDs for like 1.50, returnable anywhere in Canada. Great for trips. There must be something similar in the USA?

So how did you mount the unit? Did you have an existing DVD you were replacing

$32 Ford pigtail adapter
Existing 12 pin connector between roof and DVD (2002)
Labeled each cable so I could match them up
Ford Pigtail adapter
Cut the original harness - no going back now
harness wired up!
Checking if it works and success!
Doesn't take up any of the rear view

No I haven't wired them up yet. I'm still waiting for my new head unit to come and then I'm running all the wiring under the carpet.

So the fancy wire job shown above - will I encounter the same thing in my 03?
I have the same DVD setup size/shape - just need the IR unit to wire up.
Will the plug be the same once I drop it...
Not sure what unit came in the 02...seems like a lot wire changes just to add IR headphones.
