I would have went full powder coat, but none were in my area to be able to and so chassis paint was the next best option. Chassis saver compared to the por products was much cheaper and I have been happy with it. It's just not a paint for bare metal despite even having bare metal roughed up. The other plus is that it can be brushed on and it flows out well. I have many people who could not believe that I brushed on the paint and didn't spray it.
If powdercoat chips, it's really hard to patch it properly and by the time you notice said chip your frame has already begun to rust from the inside out.

I 2nd this. I have had the same experience with chassis saver. Good stuff. Just don't get it on your skin.
