A nice condition quigly f-sd. More than I would want to pay for it though.

How is your blue f-sd build coming a long Garret?

And how bout you Brad? start on your 4x4 f-sd? Another question, the t-case you posted above with the brake on it, what is it? The brake bolts in place of the tail shaft housing?

i know it's been gone for over a year and I never even saw it except in pictures but I miss that red dump truck. Looked like a real workhorse and hard to find a truck like that, especially after all the work you did on the 4X4 conversion.

That is a 4407 t-case with a modified rear case(there is no tail housing). Quigley cut off the rear then made and welded on apiece with a flange similar to the rear of a 4wd trans to allow the factory brake to bolt on

So it is a 4407. That's a really nice find there. Id imagine it is harder to find one of those than the 8 to 10 lug adapters.

Yeah, it was a good truck. The conversion honestly wasn't that hard. already had a 4x4 trans, and leaf springs. It was mostly a bolt in project. It was nice that it was an XLT. I do not see many xlt f-sd trucks. A nice 7x12 dump trailer replaced it. It hauls more than you could put in the back of the flat bed dump.

All is still available thru Quigley. Front hub adapters are $900 EACH. I forget what the t-case costs

I did not know that. I am going to assume you paid less than $900 for everything you bought at the junkyard off that Asphlund truck.

My bad. You usually seem to buy stuff at good prices. I guess this stuff was worth the money though. The u-pull it yards around me don't care if its a obs d60, sd d50/60, dana 30 from a jeep, or a corporate 10 bolt. 4x4 front axle is one price, doesn't matter what it is, and they are typically under 200 bucks hub to hub. Too bad there are very rarely any there. And when they do show up, they are gone in no time. Iv managed to snag a few over the years. I usually sold them at carlisle trucks when i used to go.

It came from a large truck yard so the prices are quite different.

A pickup t-case is $75

The t-case for the f-Superduty was over $450

Big price jump. I don't know of any big truck yards around me. The effort and money into making a parking brake setup. You are still further ahead with the custom quigly 4407 and drum parking brake probably.

That is what I was thinking. I still got a great deal @ $450. SO far I have about $4000 into the truck and I got a free storage shed too
