Sorry guys, I have been MIA for quite some time now...
though well I have been gone, we've done a few more d60 swaps and a zf6 swap into an obs, I will have to see if I have pictures.
The adapters are 8 lug to 10 lug and dually adapters. it is a 2 piece adapter because the machinest couldn't fit the 8 on 6.5 and the 10 on 7.25 in the same piece of aluminum with out them overlapping because the it is such a small pattern for 10 lug. Though it obviously has been done before because all the professionally converted trucks had 1 piece adapters like Garret? posted earlier. I think those are Quigly adapters. It would be nice to have a set of those, I couldn't find any when i was looking. Marming Harringtion used a whole different axle I believe.
Dzl jim, the adapters just fit in the 16 inch dually. didn't at first, but a small fillet around the edge of the adapter made them fit in the factory dually. the adapters are only needed for 4x4 conversions. the 2wd ones have a monobeam axle that is 10 lug, and its not an adapter, so no parts there that will be usable on a d60
the 99- 04? f450/550 had d60 (leaf sprung) up front and dana 80s or s110 in the rear i believe. And they had that big 8 on 225 lug pattern and 19.5 wheels.
the 05 to present 450/550s have the 10 on 225 lug pattern. They have the dana super 60 (coil sprung) up front. It makes the d60 look tiny. and s110/135 in the rear.
Don't quote me though, should be right, correct me if I am wrong.
I am in the works of converting a 95 F-Superdtuy to 4wd. I was lucky enough to find a junk Asphlund Converted F-superduty by Quigley.
Dana 70 front axle with king pins and Cast steel 10 lug hubs
4407 T-case with a custom made tail housing to allow the drum parking brake to be mounted.
I got the Vin off the donor and contacted Quigley and they were kind enough to send me the whole build sheet on the truck from 1997 when they built it. It lists all the parts for the conversion weather thy were Ford parts, Spicer parts, or one off Quigley parts. .photobucket.com/user/diesel_brad/media/95%20F450/10547504_10202954715737647_2366958734822283238_n_z pse67344ab.jpg.html][/URL]
Oh Idk. just busy with life I suppose haha. And trying to keep warm this winter! Plus I got a new job, and I don't have a internet card I get to borrow anymore lol.
I will have to find your build thread, I gotta imagine its done by now, right?
