I've got an '06 F-250 Lariat with the 6.0, with about 197000 miles. It's stock except for a ScanGauge II and a DC Power 200 amp alternator. I recently got the P0069 code and replaced the MAP sensor. The code didn't go away and now I'm getting a P0470 in addition (EBP sensor). I noticed the tube in the picture below hanging free in the engine compartment, and am wondering what this is and if it's a part of the problem. I didn't notice this hanging loose when I did the alternator install several months back. It's silver in color with a black boot on the end and seems to come through the passenger side firewall.
Also, just had all of the glow plugs replaced by the dealer.
Thanks in advance for any help! This is my first diesel, and this website has been a fantastic resource.
Did this code come up after glow plug install? Tech could have left EBP unplugged to since he more than likely left the heater control valve unplugged. It's located on the driver side valve cover.
Make sure the EBP is connected, the MAP sensor rubber line is connected to the intake and is free of any dry rot or cracks, plus the intake fitting is clear.
