cigarette lighter intermittent
I've noticed lately that when my phone is plugged into the cigarette lighter the charging light will go out and stay out. sometimes coming back on if I plug it in I've noticed it doesn't matter what cigarette lighter port I use either. I know to check the fuse but just looking for some other feedback. thanks in advance.

Check the wiring hooked to it. (the lighter on the back side) It doesn't stay connected very well.
Just so you know, the lighter is on the same fuse as the OBD2 port. If you have it, suggest you use the power port instead.

I would say if it's not staying on in either port it's the charger. The ports are on separate fuses.

Ok. Here's the verdict. When charging light goes out it still charges the phone for about 2 minutes and stops. After a few minutes the light will sometimes come back on and start changing the phone again. So, charger is defecttive. Thank you all.

my charger does this too ,I think the coiled wire pulls it out just enough to disconnect. I just reach down and pop it back in when it beeps at me. Try putting your phone in the little cubby and not inbetween the seat and console where the wire is stretched.
