Carl the FICM was showing some good SIgns of Fail when I wqs there

Hope the Alternator brought the ficm around



BUT You need to Unplug your Block heater now and Test FICM Cold after it SITS ALL NIGHT

This Last shop said they was going to install a Known good alt they NEVER DID


Carl when you get a Recommend from the guys here where to get a Part it would be the best to use it because we all watch over time and know what Manufactures are producing Quality Parts

As you can see this Alternator from your work thru us thru a Loop LOL but we past that now so Moving FOrward

final update

Ok first thing i want to say thanks to all members of this form put out alot of at info and ideas to trouble shoot problems for other members. As you recall i had couple of issues going on first one was the alt wasnt charging at idle it was at many shops until took it to a shop that deals w only alt and eletrical isuues great shop called orem eletric so they took out old alt rebuilt it put it back in now its charging at idle all along it was a bad alt so beware members if they bench test alt its only at high speed not low so that problem is fixed the second one was loosing power while driving a good friend benny said it was the ficm when driving it would go down to 40to 47 so it was bad too so i changed out the ficm now shes runnung great also changed out the oil filter cap to correct one now im on to recovery of this truck so again thanks to members and benny for great info

It seems that MOST of the big chain auto parts stores are
using a computerized test station and have no control over
the test other than start or emergency stop. The reason is
that they don't want to pay to train someone how to test things
because that person won't hang around at the **** poor wages
that most places pay.

Congrats on getting it up and running. And Benny has always been top notch in my book and this proves it. Thank you for the update.
