I did some looking and got the Charging Diagram
for the diesel single alt. I also put the Instrument Cluster
Diagrams up for you also.

Let me know if this covers things.

Wow Benny,, this thread slipped my radar. No matter what,, you are doing a great service. We have to remember,, new members don't know the knowledge of some members here. But us regulars here know who we'd like to get help from. And Benny,, you're definately on that list. Most of you know,, I know EXACTLY how Benny feels right now. It gets personal. Benny is acting and treating this issue just like its on his own truck. Just remember Carl,, we are all here because its what we enjoy. Helping others is what it is all about.

I'm gonna reread this thread from a diag standpoint,, the first read I was focusing on the similarities of what we all did a couple months ago in New Orleans.

It'd be nice to rule out a short in the one of the 3 accelerator position sensors. We know the pedal goes dead,, just don't know if it's the reading it's getting,, but only if its a shorted wire,, would it cause a voltage drop. I'd think it'd blow a fuse.

Well were going to chck the Everything even the Accelerater Pedal

I thought I had the Pinpoint for that but its Not Justa Troubleshoot for DTC P2138 P2139 P2140

But its got the 3 Tracks and there voltage to check per Closed throttle and WOT Plus I have the SGII Info to for KOEO Idle and 2500rpm

Im sure one of the guys can get us the Pedal pin point test if we need it

We will check it all this time Carl
Alternator and Every wire in the charging system and complete the Alt Pinpoint test
Gas pedal all 3 Tracks
And the FICM Connections

will start there and dig deeper if we must

Carl we wont Buy a Single part until we are Positive it tests Bad I think it will be a wire or loose or dirty connection on a wire

Everything can be tested I just got a little Lazy last time Guess I thought an alt would be a Slam Dunk it wasn't we Should have just pulled it to have it Bench tested

But that alt Pin point test will check it over good its a Sweet test

Keep an eye on the FICM it may start having problems down the road.
Better to know so you can plan and not need it then get dumped.
