Were yall checking the voltage at the alternator or at the batteries? My thoughts are that the fuse is blown in the wire from the alternator to the battery OR the plug in the back of the alternator has a bad/broken wire, but that usually turns on the battery light. Might also be a Vref or an I-circuit problem.
no battery light on thats whats wierd now since i changed alt but still low votage
Are you checking voltage at the batteries or at the alternator? 11.72 sounds like just running on batteries with the glow plugs on. Did yall check the wire between the battery and alternator for continuity?

Thanks for the update. I kind of thought that might of been it. Did you ever check the places I suggested for the chaffing? Post #12
Hey thanks for the Update Carl I was going to update this thread when we talked ealier but forgot
The shop told him they got the alt to charge at 13 Volts
But that's BS his alt that's on it is a 200amp one they would have saw Volts at 13.8-14.2 volts if they got it to charge
The shop was stalling for time HELL they had to tell him something they had it for 2 weeks over an ALternator that don't charge LOL
I don't feel so bad considering I got closer then any shop its been to so far in fact I nailed it I just jumped the gun saying the alternator was Bad
I will be the Bigger Man and admit I was Wrong on the ALT being Bad
But I was Correct saying it didn't charge so whats that 50% so my is a grade F LOL BUt do I get any Points for coming closer then FORD they cleaned injectors LMAO
His I-Sense wire tested ok when he checked it
We didn't test the A Circuit wire I think its the one at Fault
OK HERE IT IS THE SHOP STILL HAS THE EXCURSION STILL NO IDEA WHATS CAUSING LOW VOLTAGE WHILE IS IDLING THEY HAVE CHECKED ALL GROUNDS, CHECKED THE ALT, CHECKED BOTH BATTERIES ALL PASSED. THEY DID A JUMPER WIRE FROM BATTERY TO ALT STILL NO CHANGE THEY CHECKED ALL INJECTIORS HERE S THE KICKER THEY BROUGHT IN A OTHER EX SOME 6.0 TOOK ALL MY PARTS OFF TO TRY ON THE OTHER EX ALL PASSSED W FLYING COLORS ALT IS CHARGING LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE THEN PUT ALL THE OTHER EX PARTS ON MINE AND SAME DAM PROBLEM W OTHER PARTS SO IT NOT THE ALT OR FICM OR PCM OR BATTERIES. THEY ARE OUT OF IDEAS TO DO IM READY TO BLOW IT UP CALL IT DONE I CANT BE PUTTING MORE MONEY INTO THIS IM ALMOST A GRAND IN PARTS LABOR STILL NOT FIXED THANKS FOR ALL HELP I GUESS THIS IS THE ONE CANT BE DONE OR FIXED
Carl I know what they told you but I don't buy that they changed all the wires and stuff between the 2 trucks some the Main Components YES I can see that But not all the wires and some of that. They would have so much time into swapping stuff around and possibly breaking a Plug or something here and there I just don't see it
I kinda think they feed you a Line to do whats called CYA (Cover Your AZZ) But they sick of it and Lost at this Point
I Bet they didn't properly Load Test some of the Wires either and I wonder if this is where the problem getting Missed
I'm following this thread not because I know shat from shinola about electronics, but because I'm so amazed at the FTE community reaching out to another in need. Kudos sent to you Bennie. Good luck Carl
