The black plastic inside mirror covers are the sail the sail panels, Mike. That's a great location.

At the front of the top of the dash, firing upward is also very good. Tweets reflect off the windshield very well.

How do you wire tweeters? Just split the front door wiring or thier own dedicated wire from the HU?

My Caddy has the Bose system and I'm seriously jealous of it and need a better setup in my X. I'm going to put tweeters in the A pillar trim under grab handle

U have to have a crossover on them. U can buy them cheap online just what hz u want the cut to. Than it will separate the hz to the tweeter and mid

You cant get answer in generell. I'll try to explain it and please be patient with me and my humbling English.

1st. The most usual way.
You buy a real 2 way system and since you want to locate them at different places youll need NOT a CoAxial-System (Thats those one part chassis with a tweeter integrated).
Real 2ways (Passive) have always a little device which split the frequencies for you. So you have two wires (-/+) coming from your HU or the Amplifier into this device and from there you have 2x 2several cables which feed your Midbass (for example the door) and the other pair feed the tweeter in the SAILS for example.

If you want to build up a real HiEnd Stereo you have to buy a active 2way system. This system has more power and can be better adjusted to your needs or your car. The difference is that there is no device which split the frequencies, and you go directly with seperate cables from your amplifier to the midass and the tweeter. The adjustments has to be make at your amplifier or DSP device.
