I'm sure there are existing posts on this topic, but I did a search and after 15 pages of searching, I quit. Anyone have experience with installating component tweeters in their SD? Where is the best place for proper imaging given the options the truck has? I'm running 6.5" Bostons in the doors with two 10" Kickers behind the rear seat all powered by two RF amps. The tweaters are currently mounted high on the pilars and I hate it! Way to overbearing. I thought of placing them lower in the pilars more facing the windshield, or lower on the doors near the 6.5's. Any suggestions/pictures would be helpful.
I have 6.5 inch component polk momo speakers in all four of my doors with the tweeters just about the main speaker in the door. In the back i have them mounted by the seat belt on the pillar. It sounds really good.
I did mine in a door sails. The drivers side dives into the dash, however reflects very nicely back to the side glass and then out. Makes the stage width about as wide as the mirrors in the truck.
