EEkn more outta my 240.
I really appreciate you saying all you did about the 300 you had gone over. I still want to see what I can get the 240 to turn out with the split mnflds and a less restrictive muffler. I did not know that the heads are sooooo small (the ports) I mean.That will be a whole lot of why even with split exh. mnflds. and a good muffler(s) that the mpg won't change very much. Humph!!!!! I am trying to justify the expense of a muffler for each mnfld. Do you think it is worth the money to go with two mufflers?

Today I asked a local auto supply if they would order a set of exh mnflds for a '95 F-150. I wanna see what they are really like before I buy them. I was maybe a little over the top by asking you if two mufflers were worth the $ and effort. ( have a "y" before one muffler I mean). Sorry about that. I think it would be worth the $. The idea is to make it so there is less back pressure. Really having split mnflds is brilliant. For two reasons. The firing order is (as you of course know 153624. So that in itself means the cylinders are separated so they are not feeding spent fumes into the next cylinder in the firing order. Soooo, thanks for letting me know of the split mnflds. I have been driving my F-100 since 12/23/82. So there is much I am not aware of. I hope you chat again. At the very least, I will let you know how it works out. It will take 6/8 weeks to finish, weather mostly the reason for taking so long. I have no shop.
