1963 f100 water pump. I have tried to order a replacement water pump from GMB and although the impeller size matches (4 3/4) and the GMB pump mounts to the engine the nose size and diameter are wrong. I definitely have a 63 292 Y Block V8. I think the GMB pump might be for a car even though it is supposed to be for a truck. Here's a few numbers - the GMB pump that came is 125-3110 and the ford part number I thought might be right after searching the forums is B6C8501B but the impeller on that pump is only 3 and 7/8. Here's a couple of casting numbers from current pump. 575 0796 also P 614 on the hub. Any insight would be great! I guess is all else fails I could send the current pump out to,be rebuilt.

I956/64: There are FOUR different 272/292 pumps. The following is correct for your application:
Not the same: B6A-8501-B .. 272/292/312 car / B6T-8501-B .. 1956 272 H/D / B7T-8501-A .. 1957/61 272/292 Tilt Cabs.
Is the GMB (whatever the hell that is) water pump new or a rebuilt? It's probably a rebuilt (aka 'remanufactured') assembled by minimum wage clucks that don't know diddly-squat.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B6C-8501-B ~ The following are supposed to be NOS but verify before buying. B6C-8501-BX is a Ford rebuilt, but some obsolete parts vendors drop the X from the number when listing on websites.
MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has ONE = 607-722-5371.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has ONE = 800-543-4959.
ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has ONE = 817-275-2381.
NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has ONE = 972-937-2201.
Thanks for the reply. I verified the impeller diameter and ordered 86C-8501-B from Miller's, should workout fine . Exciting - last part needed to get the truck up in running (hopefully) . Will post a picture once we're road-worthy.
Pump from Miller's came today. There's an old tag on it that says B6C-8501A but the receipt says B6C-8501 A/B. Hope it fits. The casting number is identical to the old one.
Post script....pump was perfect...great!!
