How to remove dash ***** on my 59?

I am trying to replace the old broken *****, but they are not budging. I was trying the choke ****, the new one looks like a screw one but the old one is not moving, any advice?
Thanks for all the help.I am really enjoying my new truck.

Most of them are removed by loosening a small setscrew in the back of the ****. I believe the choke unscrews from the behind the dash and the whole ****/choke cable assembly pulls back out through the dash(if I remember correctly). The headlight know is removed by pushing a button/tab on the bottom of the switch(**** and shaft remove as one piece).

To do the choke you need to remove the all thing? I just want to replace the white ****.

That's how I remember it when i did mine. Check to see if there is a small setscrew towards the back of the ****. If not then the know doesn't separate from the shaft.

what F250racer said. original choke and air vent cables and ***** are a single unit. Mine were worn and nicked up from age. I smoothed them up with sand paper and resprayed all with the same color along with the steering wheel so everything matches.

I replaced my broken choke cable and the new was a screw on type while the old was molded into the metal rod that attached to the cable. If that makes sense.

You could always just take a torch to the old **** and carefully melt it off.
