51-52 choke ****

the choke **** on my 52 is in decent shape but the white C is gone. I picked up a new one from DC while I had some other stuff coming to study how I might fit it. Any thoughts on how I can use the original cable/bezel and fit the new **** on the shaft?

I'm guessing its not threaded on? If not, I would maybe try heating up the metal that goes into the **** enough to melt the plastic and pull it out of the ****, then use epoxy to put it on the new one. I'm sure someone else has a better idea though.

The new DC **** is threaded. Was hoping someone had success in removing the old **** and maybe threading the shaft with a die to accept the **** threads and using loc-tite. I have an old choke cable I think I will try that on.

Ah okay. My choke cable was seized, so I ordered a new cable with the new ****.
