Woah! Tested known good IPR. 5.6 ohms. Tested mine thru pin #2!!! 3000!!! Ohms. Wiggled wires like crazy. No change. IPR here we come. Gonna try without pulling turbo...wish me luck.

I'll test my wires, connections, and IPR as I go.

Pulled IPR. Ohm'd out same as good one. Checking wiring now. Can I turn key on with FICM removed to test pin #2? Set codes or damage?

You won't hurt anything just make sure nothing is grounded against the engine.

The reason I asked you what direction you parked is that sometimes you get a leak down from the pump if you're parked nose up. Parking nose down can keep the oil in the pump. It's kind of a rare occurrence but it was a thought.

Got it. Put known good one in. It's running. Drive home and shut it off. Restart right then. I'll let ya know how it goes.

What gives with the 4400 ohms? I tested both IPR. Also tested wires. 12V on red, continuity on the other.

I thought you put in a new IPR?

I don't know about the ohms thing. Maybe one of our EE guys will chime in.

You might see if you can disassemble your old one to see if it's got trash hanging it up. Other than that check Ebay for OEM a lot cheaper than you can find around here. NO aftermarket allowed.

It's a new year! I have been discussing my issues with a local Ford diesel master tech. He said he could take a look and help me diagnose it. Seems like a knowledgeable guy. He lives about 15 minutes from here. Any suggestions on compensation for that level of help?

Here's the run down:
Truck had long crank
Truck would not start cold
Replaced: stand pipes, d-plugs, STC fitting, FICM
Installed IPR GENII EGR delete and up pipe.
Reconditioned turbo.
Cleaned egr and reinstalled.
All new filters and Rotela T6
Truck started and ran for a week during very cold weather.
Now truck will not start when hot.
Conducted HPOP system air leak test with adapter thru ICP port. No leaks detected.
Installed known good IPR. No change. Will not start hot.

Going thru this list just made me realize I had not conducted air test after engine was warm!!! If I have a no start after truck heats up, probably should test under that condition! Duh...

Thoughts?
