If my batts are low will that make such a difference in the ICP number?
If your truck is cranking sufficiently to start normally the battery voltage won't affect your ICP. You have to have a minimum of cranking RPM's before the PCM will tell the FICM to fire the injectors. 2mPa only equals about 290 PSI which is about 210 short of running.....
Had a couple of hours today. Took off the FICM. My case and connectors look in better shape than replacement. But, the case isn't what matters. Tried to connect my jumper into the IPR without removing turbo. 1/2 hour gone. Finally just tapped into existing wires. No change in air. So, I pulled the turbo and dropped on my hand. Thought it was broke. No such luck. Now, I'm outta time. Wife and kiddo are home. Maybe get back to it tonight. I'll post some pics soon.
Great. Air test showed no leaks. I researched that you need a stethoscope to verify location. I didn't hear anything to even try to locate a noise. Thought IPR was shot after bench test. Put it in for air test, and all air noise ceased. Does that mean my ICP is dead? I was getting low readings.
Left IPR connected for 100 secs. Even made my wife come out and listen. Never heard a peep. Feeling good about my HPOP entire system; STC, pump, stand pipes, d-plugs and IPR. I'll put my turbo back in, connect my new FICM, replace the ICP and call it good. Any tips about something I might be missing would be greatly appreciated. Have a couple days off for the holidays. Hope to wrap it up for the best Xmas present ever! Cost enough. Ha!
Any suggestions on HPOP system test? Think I'd hear something after that amount of time if I had any leakage. Hope to put it all together on Thursday. I'll update.
IT'S ALIVE!!!! All back together. Only thing I can think is combination of crap batts and FICM dying. ICP perfect, IPR tip top... Haven't heard it in a while and sounds like I got an engine rattle. I'll try to post a video. Let me know how it sounds.
I'M FREAKING OUT HERE!!! Went for a 30 minute test drive. Felt good! Came home, fed baby girl her dinner, put her to bed, grabbed a brew to run a few more diagnostics on the truck. WON'T STINKIN START...
