I'd say you're winning. You already said its a lot quieter. It's just that turbo is such a high pitch squeal its going to be hard to get rid of that noise. I didn't know there was something like Travis mentioned, but maybe that would help.
IIRC 05+ Dodges had the silencer in the tube. I'm gonna call it a silencer anyways. They started that when they changed the exhaust manifold and mounted the turbo lower down than earlier years. My moms '08 6.7 has one on it also, so I can pull it off and take a pic of it if you want.
OK. I just left there, but I'll go back tomorrow and get a pic of it. Its gonna be kinda different getting that thing plumbed into your intake, but you can give it a shot. I'm not sure how much difference it will make, but it does help a bit on those 6.7s to shut up the turbo while using the exhaust brake.

I appreciate it Travis, Thanks but there is no rush. We aren't planning another trip for a while.
You knew what I was getting at didn't you! LOL!! I'm anxious to see what your EGTs and power are like towing. All I can report for mine is after running on high idle for about 15 minutes my EGTs never got up to 200!
haha, I'm anxious too! Just around town is feels real good. I had a feeling that Jonathan had me tuned back. My prediction is good power but EGT's will be high if I stay in it. I say that because my EGT's have always been high. I just don't think that a sixteen thousand pound parachute can be pulled without getting EGT's up there. With the leaks fixed I believe they will be manageable, better then ever. This talk that "I can't get my EGT's over 1100 no matter how hard I try" Is total BS, I think!! I would love to be proven wrong!
I didn't have time to mess with moms truck today. I'll get you something on that intake soon though. I finished another customer truck today and decided to go eat steaks at my dads instead of playing trucks the rest of the day. Lol.
If you want to be proven wrong, build an engine and let's throw compounds at it.
When everyone talks about not being able to get over 1100*, there is no way that they are doing that in a hot tune while towing. So saying that no matter how hard they try, that's BS. If they tow in a race tune with your load they will get hot. You can still put more air in it and that would help, but in some cases that might hurt spoolup. In other cases you can retain spool up with a slight increase in airflow, but nothing drastic.
Again, I thought I was getting a early start home, wrong. I wasn't a mile out of the campground when bam, I blew a IC hose at only 20 psi of boost. I love the side of the road, LOL. It was at the connection between the pipes on the hot side. I repositioned the hose and clamped them down and bam, I broke the threaded rod on the clamp. I had two hose clamps with me so I used them to get me going. I limited my boost to 20 psi and I'm home. The thing is, it ran pretty good except for the cruise. It was really jerky, surged a lot. I'll ask Tony if he can adjust that, I'm guessing he can. In economy mode it was jerky but not to bad so I ran it all the way home in economy. Wish I could tell you more Bill, I do think his tunes ran pretty good except for cruise. Does anybody know if there is a wider, stronger clamp? I'm almost to the point of double clamping every joint, LOL
