Some of them do actually blow off some boost in order to limit pressure to the map sensor, so it would be a boost leak. Some of them like the relief valves that blow open at a certain amount of boost. I don't think the regulators do that though. I also reserve the right to be full of it, but I think that's right. Lol

What do you mean by just a leak? I don't want to mess with my tunes, they work so well besides the last trip setting that code, and a little rpm fluxing with the cruise on at 70ish mph.

Ready for the trip tomorrow Glenn?
The map isn't cheap, that's for sure. Seems I read that the map can't be hurt and another article that it can be !

I'm really to roll Darin!

What kind of boost you getting Pete to set the 238? As far as your knowledge and experience, can you ruin a map?

You posted just ahead of me Travis, can a map be ruined? Do you run a fooler?

Yeah, that is funny. I'm always full of it, LOL

The UPS guy just knocked on the door, man he's running late!! He dropped off my TW chip!! Such good timing, I'll run the chip that I ran all summer tomorrow to see what I was missing with my leaks. Before I come home I'll try Tony's chip for comparison!

To be honest, I don't know what it would take to mess up one of these MAP sensors. I'm sure they can be hurt at some point, but I don't know if that point is 40psi or much higher or lower..

I was just wondering, I'm not worried about it.

Boy,there is no damage control round here for them.

I WAS going to have clifford dynoed at rre just to see how he is doing.but now,I will just give my buddy an hr away and has done half a dozen or more tuning on projects a call. He is fun to go visit with anyway.I may discuss some live tuning even..

No clue. No gauge. I've never heard of a map sensor being damaged by higher boost pressure. Not that it couldn't happen.

Just got here, what a day. I thought we were going to get a early start, wrong! As soon as I got to the first stop sign I realized NO CAMPER brakes! Went back home and spent a couple hours trying to figure that out. Started up front and worked back cleaning all the connections etc. and the controller liked what I did.

My EGT's were better but not as good as I hoped. The power was smooth and responsive. The boost was really responsive, it would just jump up fast when called for. The cab was quiet and I would be speeding without realizing it because of the quiet. There is always a negative, to much turbo whistle!! LOL

I could still take them up over 1,300, but what the heck, I can't have perfection! I will put TW's chip in before we head home. That should be interesting.

Yeah, I'll be interested in seeing how that chip does. We have basically the same set up now, so I'd like to see how you like Tony's tunes.
