Door window and vent window removal

Having spent the better part of this afternoon searching threads I'm forced to start a new one to learn how to remove door glass from my 49 F1. Can someone(s) walk me through the process of removing both the window glass and the vent window, please? I have most of the window channel out and the three screws out that hold the vent frame in the door, but can't figure out how to get the glass out . Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Doug I think you are going to need to get the main glass out, then the regulator, then the channel divider, then the vent will come out. The manual has the steps and I found out there are no shortcuts. It's a real pain man. Replace and restore everything you can while you have it torn down.

Doug thinking more, I think I taped the window in all the way up, then took out regulator, then glass, then divider, then vent. Put new channel in too. Npd makes a nice restore kit.

Hey Jonathan, thanks for the note. I have the window separated from the window. Do I need to remove the regulator, then does the window somehow come up and out through the window opening? I can see how once all the window stuff is gone that the vent will come out (it's loose now). I thought maybe (without measuring) the window might drop down once unattached from the regulator and it might come out through the inspection hole??

Everything comes out of that door inspection hole believe it or not! Get the regulator out first and out of the way. Then ease the glass back down and then out of the hole. Then the divider. You have to maneuver the regulator and divider into just the right position to get them out. It's a beast of a job. That's why I said restore everything while you have it apart. Be careful with the parts also not to scratch the pAint. It's rewarding though when done and takes a tremendous amount of rattles out of the truck. Make sure your door stop rubber is also good and if not replace it also while you are in there. I blasted the inside of ours, sanded, and then POR coated the entire inside. All through that little door hole!
