I'm an IDIOT! Now I need a Ford PN.

Was changing orings on the HPO line fittings that go into the HPOP today. Apparently I got a little over zealous cleaning everything with the compressed air, cause those 2 little springs sticking out of the HPOP disappeared. I fished around and found 1, but after 45 minutes, couldn't find the other. None of the ford dealers can find it in the schematic, and quite honestly, don't seem to want to be bothered. Please help me out, I need this truck running ASAP!

That would be great! I hope your right on that. Thanks! Also, do you know the answer to this question; is the non-serviceable plug the one behind/next to the 2 HPO fittings on the HPOP? The kit I got had 3 o rings and one was for that end plug. From reading on here I know the non serviceable plug can be serviced, so was wondering if I'm eliminating that one inadvertently. That sucker doesn't want to stop dropping though... Maybe overnight it will stop.

I THINK this is correct. I'm also pretty sure the only way you'll get the springs through Ford is with a new HPOP attached.

You don't need those check valve springs....delete them both and you will be fine. I think those were a left over item from back when the front cover reservoir was plumbed differently (before the anti-drain back stand pipes were added...)

The non-serviceable plug is on the bottom of the pump.

Thanks a ton guys! I'll sleep better tonight knowing I can put it back together first thing tomorrow. Hopefully that slow oil drip out the drain plug stops and dries up before morning!

Just to reiterate what has been said, I talked to joey at Terminator engineering about those springs a few years back and he said thats one of the first things he does with new pumps is remove the springs.

Just for future reference if anyone comes across this later. I reassembled without the springs and it seems to run exactly the same as before. I was a little worried about the long cranking starts at first, but it seems to be a result of a drained HPOP, and is slowly getting better as the air drains out of the system. Thanks again for the input guys!

It will take a half dozen operating cycles to get back to normal. Some folks say it takes about 50 miles to get the air out of the system but that never worked for me. I have always had to drive and then let it sit for a few hours and then repeat a few times before things returned to normal.
