I hate to stir the pot but.. you don't have money for fuel.. but you have $$$$ to buy another truck?? kind of doesn't make sense.. ^^^troy is right..you letting that truck sit would be the worse thing you could do... I bought my truck in june...listened to guys like senix/wp a lot of good guys on here..i didn't know **** about these motors either but I learned quickly so I didn't loose my 32k investment..plus 7grand in tires/wheels/lift ANyways the best thing you can do is spend about 1600.00 delete exhaust tune it ..and you WILL FALL IN LOVE.. from what I've seen so far/been told the truck will last through the years.

I have money to buy fuel I just don't like buying fuel enough for 3 trucks and only putting it in one!
The regen deal sounds like a major pain also.
Im reading here and Im going to check out a couple of local diesel shops and see what they say.
Ive learned a bunch from senix already.
Im prepared to do whatever as I have to keep it for awhile and it is a very nice truck , but in the mean time I still gotta get to work!
yeah I wasn't trying to bust your chops... I don't know what you paid for the other truck.. but you could've used that $$$$ to delete the dpf..which would eliminate the "Regen" you keep talking about.. make the truck run better and 1-3 mpg more depending on how aggressive you go with the tune...

Only 1-3 improvement?
That's not much I need about 5-8 to make it feasible.
5 mpg ?
Obviously something must be wrong.
I concur; take it in and get it fixed.
How long have you had this truck now?
Do you have any real highway mileage numbers yet?
What is the boost guage doing while running down the highway?
Is the tailpipe clean, or dirty?
Have you ruled anything out like low tires or dragging brakes?
Ive had the truck for a week or so.
It seems to get better mileage around town than it does on the highway.
I don't have any firm numbers yet, I was driving on fairly flat ground going 60-70 mph/100/110 kms empty.
Doesn't feel like any dragging brakes it rolls along smooth but acts like it could use another higher gear.
Not trying to be a dick, but maybe you bought more truck than you needed?
The f350 has normal axle ratios that can manage higher MPG.
The reason it seems like it needs another axle, is that it's empty.
Put 20,000 lbs behind it, and maybe it would feel a little better suited
