Looks to me like the battery was headed south or the starter was getting hot. Notice that on the dry test that 5 and 6 were dropping fast. Then, the wet test picks up with a tired battery/hot starter and 1, 2, & 6 are up from where you left off at 101. But that doesn't last long and 5 is down. And while 4 is above 5, you will see it is also above 5 in the dry test, so 5 is a little weaker than 4.

All in all I don't see a problem. Ford says the low cylinder must be within 80% of the high. Your dry high is 125 and 80% of that is 100. Now prob as your low is 101 and that was with a battery going down some. And the wet readings are even tighter - in spite of a battery or starter that was obviously fading.

you are right, the starter musta got hot, I redid the test this morning, #6 read as 120, dry, 5th read as 115, and I did it twice., so i got payed today, and I will be looking for a place to have the head shaved, and buy the more expensive gasket, instead of a cheapy.

I'm lost - why do you need to have the head shaved/milled? I don't see a problem with your numbers that says the head gasket is leaking.

Let me rethink that: I don't see anything in the compression numbers that say the head gasket is leaking at the head/cylinder junction. But, I had forgotten about the coolant leaks out and in. So something is obviously leaking. And, I have personally had an engine pass a compression test with a blown headgasket - apparently it sealed well enough with the engine cold, but drive it and it leaked.

So, I agree - you have a leaking headgasket and will have to pull the head. And, while it is off, have it checked for warpage and milled if necessary. But, also have it magnafluxed as it may be cracked and not warped.

sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was yelling at ya, i'm hoping its not cracked, other wise its gonna set me back a ways. i just need the coolant issues fixed, get mirrors and bumper, then it's roadworthy and of course registration, although a tailgate and the original tail lights would be nice, lol

Didn't take it that you were yelling. Just asking a legit question - where's the coolant coming from. And, I doubt it is cracked or warped. But when you have it off having had a problem then it is a must to have it checked.

Yep. Maybe the head. Your compression numbers aren't bad, so when you get the leak fixed it should be strong.

thats what im hoping. its been confirmed it does only have 57k on it, I talked to a guy who rembers it would sit for weeks on end in the same spot and go to town once a month or so, lol. and it was sold to marv, the guy I bought it from in 2009, so it hasn't been drove since then hardly. could it just sitting warp the head? or not being drove do it in? im sure the answers no, but cant hurt to ask.

No, sitting won't hurt the head. Basically all that will is too much heat. And that takes a problem in the cooling system. Like maybe running dry and overheating. As long as the head is on a six it can warp due to heat a bit easier than one on an eight.

If it's cracked, it's scrap.

Yep. While it may be technically possible to save a cracked head, it is cheaper to get one from a salvage - one with a guarantee that if a machine shop finds it is cracked they will replace it.
