thinking its a vacuum problem please advise
my 86 f250 351w 4 barrel carb is having trouble staying at idle...i had to replace a gasket under the carb and ever since then she dont idle and sounds like she is missing and running on half a motor....any ideas?

I hate to say it, but if it ran ok before you messed with it, then it's something you did. Like the wrong gasket, or maybe you forgot to put a hose back on at the rear where you can't see. When I do this, I just start over and go through it again to see if I stumble across what I did wrong.

It sounds like the gasket you replaced is not sealing. I would pull the carb back off and
check to see if both mating surfaces are clean and reinstall it carefully. Also, make sure
the gasket you used is the same thickness and size as the old one.

yea i figured i got to take it back off and i checked all vacuum lines and there all fine.The new gasket was exactly the same but new of course so ill rip it back off and see what i messed up also to add she is putting way to much fuel in the carb idk what i did but ill check it out
