Im open to better idea's! I think with the suction of the fan you have to secure the wires away from it. I think that's why fords idea was short/straight...
I didn't zip tie mine to the radiator but as tight as it is from the clutch to the shroud it's not moving. I did put a harness anchor into the shroud to hold the harness and then zip tied it to the upper hose. I also redid the ECT sensor wiring. I'll try to get a picture and post it after the sun comes up.
I did find and can look it up that you can get both plugs as pigtails.
I should know I have a set for my fan control project that I put on
the back burner for now. Here is the test box with the plugs.
I made it to see what the amp draw of the clutch is and to see
how I could come up with a small device to let the driver override
the PCM control of the fan without giving the PCM a headache
BTW here is a photo of the FSS output
The project is on the back burner for now do to other things right now.
Wow Yahiko, it's a good thing you are using your skills for good and not evil. I would be interested in a black box that allows me to ramp my fan var up with a flip of switch or something.
That is the idea, I would even go to the point of
some added electronics so that you could tell it
how much and when.
But I think an updated tune would do the same.
