Blue spring?
I did a search didn't find the results I was looking for so what is this mod for and if it's any good where can I buy it?

Its not really a mod, its more of a Ford update. It increases fuel pressure due to the updated fuel filters. It is highly recommended, and for such a low price theres no reason not to do it. If your cover isn't cracked, you don't need the kit with the cover (they have both). Here's a link that gets you closer to what you want. Riffraff are great folk to deal with and this is easy to do yourself. Instructions in Tech folder, btw.

I found mine at tousleyfordparts.com. It cost $53.59 plus shipping of 11.50 I think for the kit with the cover. Total $65.09

Riff Raff is one of the best deals unless you can come across the International kit on eBay 1854267C94

For my kit, Riff Raff is $62.81 plus $6.95 USPS Priority Shipping (cheapest) for a total of $69.76 which is $4.67 more than I paid at tousleyfordparts.com

Why do you want the kit with the cover? No need for a cover unless the old one was lost or cracked.

Mine was leaking. Didn't know if it was cracked or not, so I ordered the whole kit to be safe. No sense in putting it on and having it leak again and having to buy more parts.

Mine was $62 from my local ford dealer. I wish I would have went through Riffraff and just got the internals since I didn't use the cover anyway.

That's good info. The part # at Ford, I believe for just the O-ring and blue-spring kit is 6E7Z-9C165-B. $39.08 at Tousley Ford plus $9.95 for overnight shipping. I'll search for a International Dealer near me for future reference. I had heard they were discontinuing that kit at International.

So the kits are:

Upgraded fuel pressure regulator kit (w/ cover):
Motorcraft - 3C3Z-9T517-AG
International - 1843065C98

Fuel Pressure Regulator "Spring and Reseal Kit Only"
Motorcraft - 6E7Z-9C165-B
