Ian Virco4 days ago Yes, when you look at the motor and axle being pulled out the wheels are not going round, the motor or gearbox had seazed up, the motorless axle was put in just to get it mobile so as the other loco could haul it to the repair depot without damaging the rails/trucks.
I guess ignoring that check engine light can cause real trouble.
While it is obvious why, I still think it's "funny" how the railroad trucks everything to/from situations like this. Also, when building, they truck materials in and even dirt out. Can't use the railroad, too slow I guess....
