That's funny.
However, I wonder how many N. Platte's there are in the east?

I belong to another Forum, For Diesel Powered Trucks.
I posted about Rail Watching, I got called everything but a White man from a guy that claimed to be railroad employee Conductor/Engineer,saying we were all foamers?

Dang, tough crowd.

Handy little site to browse. Picked up 1/16 tubing for coleman generator prickers.

Foamers? What the heck is a foamer? Someone who foams at the mouth whenever a train rolls by? Interesting that railroad employees don't like rail fans. If that person can be believed. I have taken pictures of of both sides I guess. Once while waiting for a train to cross, and me on my bike (before the accident of course) the engineer actually waved at me while passing by. However, I also remember passing the local repair yard here, and stopping the Bronco to take some shots with the Nikon camera, and as I pointed it at the engine, the engineer, closed the window so I could not see him. Didn't bother me too much as I was not really interested in him anyway, just the locomotive he was driving.

Media's been pretty quiet about the restoration. Here's a story from May to outline some of its history and changes being made.

Locomotive?s Restoration Gives Nebraska Rail Company the PR Equal to the Goodyear Blimp | netnebraska.org

Was hoping to see some updates but not to be.

Thought I'd check on any updates on the Big Boy but still nothing since the last post above.
With all the enthusiasm of seeing her back on the tracks, pretty slow with new info.
