Egr delete, HPOP, and new oil cooler 50 k miles ago, but it appears the oil cooler is clogged again. Perhaps they didnt flush the coolant system when it was changed.
I can't prove the egr delete is installed. Still has the egr chamber with coolant running through it. Still had the egr valve. I can't see if a plate was installed in the up pipe to egr cooler connection. So, I can't prove it has an egr delete.
I'll order a sinister just in case. I'll also install a coolant filter.
I've read where the turbo oil feed and drain lines should be replaced.
What else should I get for the model truck while there. If if were a later model, it would be stand pipes, dummy plugs and stc connection. This model had the hpop problem, but that has been changed already.
I thought about the fuel pump blue spring upgade, but that is easy enough to do anytime.
If you haven't I would check your head gaskets if you are going in to do that work. The other stuff I would replace also just because you are in that far and the parts aren't to expensive.
You say other stuff. What is other stuff on an 2004 that has had the hpop replaced already?? That's what I am asking.
How do you check the head gaskets without pulling the heads? Tuck runs great but it does not have head studs. The guy I bought it from said he was told it got a new engine just before he bought it at 150k miles. I don't know how to verify that without pulling the engine to look at the stamp.
RPM, the check book can't take the BPD oil cooler. I'm not a big fan of it anyway.
Thanks for the input, guys

Sorry other stuff was to general, I meant turbo drain tube and IPR screen
and the ICP sensor. There is a sticky about how to check the HG's, basically you hook a line to the degas bottle and run a line to the cab with a pessure gauge and drive the truck hard and if you go over 16 psi there is a good chance you have a blown HG.
